A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

After closing our doors for 10 weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had the pleasure of welcoming you back over the past 3 weeks. I can confidently say that our CovidSAFE plan has been working effectively to ensure your health and safety. Please be assured we will continue to work hard to ensure your safety.  We now have the NSW Government COVID Safe ‘Tick of Approval’.

Upon entering the Club, you will have noticed that some things have changed. All members are required to sign in and confirm their details, physical distancing must be adhered to and hand sanitiser is available throughout. I want to acknowledge and thank our members, patrons and staff for your understanding and acceptance on the Covid-19 measures we have in place.  It hasn’t been easy however as they say, “we’re all in this together”

As part of our ongoing commitment to Covid-19 Safety (especially the safety of our patrons and staff), we have introduced self-swipe terminals for you to swipe your own membership cards when making food and beverage purchases around the Club. This will allow members to earn bonus points for Food and Beverage purchases and also have tier discounts applied. This will commence from today (Monday 22nd June). Please see one of our friendly staff, a Duty Manager or CovidSAFE Marshall should you require assistance.

I am pleased to announce that from Wednesday 1st July, Birthday Points for April, May and June will be credited to Members who had Birthdays during our closure. We have been working extremely hard behind the scenes to make this happen. Be sure to swipe your membership card at our ‘Birthday Kiosk’ during your Birthday month to claim your Birthday Reward points.

Many of you will be delighted to hear that we will be recommencing some of our Cash Housie sessions from 7.30pm Monday 29th June, with sessions Tuesday night, Wednesday morning and night, Friday day and Sunday afternoon. We will be relocating our Cash Housie sessions to the newly upgraded (partitioned) area of the Salute Restaurant. Please note, session numbers are limited to fifty (50) persons, per session, so don’t be late! Additional information will be available via the Club website and social media pages over the coming week.  Please click here to view our scheduled sessions (days and times).

We would like to take this opportunity to advise Members that the Board of Directors have scheduled this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to take place at the Club (Bardia Room) on Thursday 30th July 2020 at 7.30pm. I am pleased to also advise members, on the same date / night as the AGM we will  also hold a Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to vote on the Amalgamation with Ingleburn Bowling Club. Please click here to view our Election, AGM and EGM notices.

Our Salute Restaurant and The Poppy Café are open every day serving all of your mouth-watering favourites. Click here to view our winter menu and be sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Tabatinga, (our Children’s Play Centre) located on level 1, is now open daily 10am to 4.00pm and offers a safe and clean environment for the little ones to enjoy. All surfaces within the centre are cleaned and sanitised on a regular basis, hand sanitiser is located throughout and seating has been rearranged to ensure social distancing.  Click here to visit our Tabatinga Covid-19 Update page.

Finally, a reminder that the health and safety of our members, guests, staff and contractors remains our highest priority. Please ensure that you follow directions from Duty Managers, CovidSAFE Marshalls and staff along with our CovidSAFE signage throughout the Club. These include:

  1. Maintaining proper hand hygiene. Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and applying Hand Sanitiser upon entry, exit and during your visit to the Club.
  2. Covering your nose and mouth when sneezing with a flexed elbow or tissue (please discard used tissues in the rubbish bins provided).
  3. Follow social distancing restrictions by keeping 1.5 metres between other patrons
  4. Stay home if you feel unwell

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this time and look forward to providing you with additional services in the near future.

Once again, welcome back.

Sincerely,

Glenn Cushion
Chief Executive Officer
