COVID UPDATE – October 1st, 2021

Dear Members and Guests,

We are excited to share with you the news that the reopening of your club is not far away. The date we anticipate being able to welcome you back to Ingleburn RSL Club is likely to be Monday 11th October.

The challenge to gear up for reopening is our focus at this time, including consultation with our amazing staff team so that those who can come back to work when we reopen will be there to welcome you back with a big smile and warm welcome.

At this time Ingleburn Bowling Club and Tabatinga Ingleburn will remain closed, however more information regarding this will be provided to you as we navigate through the next few weeks.

We will be opening to all members, guests and visitors, as per Government and NSW health authorities’ directives, and subject to the expected Public Health Order. This means the 70% double dose vaccination target will allow us to open to patrons who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or those who have a valid medical exemption.

ClubsNSW is working with the NSW Government on the Service NSW “vaccine passport” which will give clubs and patrons an avenue to verify their vaccination status. Before the “vaccine passport” is available, patrons must verify upon entry their vaccination status using other means.

The sign in process is new to everyone so we ask you to be patient with our team during this phase. We encourage all members and guests to access proof of their vaccination certificate via the Express Plus Medicare App or retrieve a printed version from the Services Australia website in preparation for entry.

Please stay up to date via our website and Facebook page for more details. Please ensure you have your details up to date with us so you do not miss out on receiving important information from the Club during this time.

https://ingleburnrsl.com.au/memberships/club-membership/

Sunday 31 May, 2020

A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

On behalf of the Board of Directors, management, staff and myself, I am looking forward to welcoming you back to Ingleburn RSL from 10am Monday 1 June.

The last few months have been challenging to say the least. We as a Club and as a society have had to rethink the way we conduct our everyday lives due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our staff have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare for re-opening and I can assure you that our CovidSAFE plan is in place and ready to go!  As always, the safety of our staff, members and their guest is always our highest priority.

The way we operate as a Club has changed. We have implemented several measures to ensure that the health and safety of our members, guests, staff and contractors remains the priority. Measures such as social distancing, entry & capacity restrictions, re-arrangement of our tables/chairs within our dining areas, regular cleaning of high-touch areas and hand sanitisers stations have been implemented throughout the Club.

For the foreseeable future, our promotions, entertainment, bingo/cash housie, poker, trivia, raffles, point of sale membership card swipes and courtesy bus will be suspended. This is to minimise the potential risk of an outbreak within our facility. We will continue to monitor the Government and Health advice and will work to towards returning these as soon as possible. Please follow our social media pages and visit our website for regular updates.

Once again, we thank you for your continued support and patronage to Ingleburn RSL and I look forward to seeing you around the Club.

Listed below is a summary of how the Club will operate to assist you with what to expect during this new norm.

  • Members only.  All members & their guests, must sign in. Minors are excluded.
  • Access (entry & exit) to the Club via the Main Foyer – separate entry and exit doors – social distancing whilst waiting to enter
  • Continued on-site cleaning and sanitisation
  • Hand sanitiser stations throughout the Club
  • 1.5-metre & ‘keep distance’ floor decals for social distancing
  • Spaced seating throughout Salute, Café, Sports Bar / TAB and Tabatinga

Dear Members,

RE: INGLEBURN RSL – NRL FOOTY TIPPING COMPETITION

Whilst we gear up to reopen, we have received a few telephone calls and Facebook posts enquiring about our NRL Footy Tipping Competition.

At this time, we have made the decision to continue with the ‘suspension’ of the tipping competition. This is due to venue restrictions and strict rules and procedures that will be in place when we do reopen. We may consider a relaunch later in the season depending on the rules, regulations at the time and any further easing of restrictions.

We apologise for this decision, however patron safety and adherence to the rules and regulations is our priority.
We sincerely hope you understand and have patience whilst we navigate safely through the new normal.

Thank you
Ingleburn RSL Club

Tuesday 26 May, 2020

Dear Members,

The announcement by the NSW State Government on Friday 22nd May to ease restrictions on Clubs & Restaurants permits me to let you know Ingleburn RSL plans to reopen as of 10am, Monday 1st June.

Behind the scenes the Ingleburn RSL Team has been busy working towards welcoming back our Members to the Club. There will, however, be several changes that have had to be made to our club layout and operations in order to comply with Health and Government guidelines. This includes but is not limited to Social Distancing and Patron number limits and restrictions. The specifics of these rules and guidelines are still to be finalised and advised by our industry association. Once the details are available, we will be in touch again to ensure you are well informed.

The health and safety of members and our staff team are of the highest importance. We stress again, your safety is our priority. Plans are in place to ensure that we are well prepared to welcome you back to a COVID-Safe environment. We know that you are keen to understand how our COVID-Safe Plan will be part of your visit to Ingleburn RSL, and of course, we will share this information with you prior to, and upon reopening.

As previously touched on, once the Club does re-open things will be different and include likely changes to;
– our trading hours
– food & beverage offering
– seating options and layouts
– courtesy bus
– promotions, raffles, bingo, cash housie, footy tipping, poker, trivia, members draw, major promotions, meetings, functions, and member services.

Given the new operating environment these events will be altered, postponed, and in many cases, there will be staggered return dates as restrictions are further eased, in addition to club operational requirements and considerations. Things will be different, but at least we will be back.

We once again thank you for your patience and support during this time and we will continue to provide you with updates regarding our re-opening.

Subject to final Health Department and ClubsNSW advice and direction, it’s ‘all systems go!’ come Monday 1st June 2020.

We cannot wait to welcome you back to Ingleburn RSL!

Sincerely,

Glenn Cushion

Friday 15 May, 2020

Dear Members and Guests,

We trust you are safe and well during these uncertain times. As you are aware, Clubs across Australia including Ingleburn RSL were temporarily Closed as of Monday 23rd March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the Government’s 3-Stage roadmap to a COVID Safe Australia, we will be carefully monitoring and advising on our re-opening plan as more information becomes available. As always, your safety and well-being is our priority.

DECISION NOT TO RE-OPEN FRIDAY 15th MAY

Stage one of the Government’s roadmap allows Cafes and Restaurants to re-open from Friday 15th May. Ingleburn RSL have made the decision not to re-open at this time. The restriction of allowing only 10 patrons in the venue at a time is extremely challenging in itself and as a business, it is sadly not viable to open.

Please click on the link below and answer the questions we have put together, there are also some spaces for comments. Once completed, please click the ‘DONE’ button at the end of the survey and your results will be anonymously saved. Your answers are confidential and will not be attributed to you personally. In light of the escalating situation with COVID-19 and the high priority we place on the health and safety of our staff, members, guests and visitors, Ingleburn RSL are implementing measures to minimise the risk of viruses such as cold, flu or COVID-19 being transmitted. • Weekly Raffles are to continue as usual unless instructed otherwise with measures being put in place to ensure that social distancing is practiced. We are currently monitoring the situation, and will advise if circumstances change.
  • Functions at Ingleburn RSL will be assessed on a case by case basis to ensure we adhere to the Australian Government and NSW Health requests, particularly with regard to venue capacity.
  • All Functions, Events and Separate areas at Ingleburn RSL Club, are subject to the 100 person restriction.  Club staff will continually count persons to ensure the maximum patron capacity is not exceeded.

On a final note, we understand that in times of uncertainty such as these, the emotional and psychological impacts can be substantial. We strongly encourage staff, members and guests to practice self-care, good hygiene and seek help if needed.

Tuesday 17 March, 2020

As a community-based organisation, we are taking advice on COVID–19 (Coronavirus) seriously, and as a result have implemented the following measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, members, guests and visitors. Our primary concern will be to protect people, ensure our obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW) and maintain our duty of care to our staff, and to persons on, or seeking to visit our premises.

All persons who have returned from overseas from midnight Monday 16 March 2020, or been in contact with people who have returned from overseas travel are required by law to self-isolate for a period of 14 days and as a result, will not be permitted to enter the Club premises.

All persons whose place of employment, education or socialisation that has been closed due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 are not to enter the Club.

All persons who experience or show signs of flu-like symptoms are not to enter the Club. These symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, tiredness and shortness of breath.

Persons who are onsite and showing flu-like symptoms will be asked to leave the premises.

We encourage all persons who are experiencing flu-like symptoms to follow the advice of NSW Health. For more information on COVID-19 visit www.health.nsw.gov.au/coronavirus.

We encourage all staff, members, guests and visitors to practise good hygiene at all times.

The Club has increased signage within the venue to inform staff, members, guests and visitors of good hygiene practices.

The Club’s staff will be discouraged from engaging in personal contact, such as the shaking of hands with fellow staff, members, guests and visitors. Please do not take this in any other way than as a preventative and control measure to help prevent the spread of viruses.

The Club is also instituting frequent sanitisation of “high touch areas” including bathrooms, door handles and buttons.

The Club will continue to monitor the advice of ClubsNSW and implement advice accordingly.

The Club and its catering contractors are taking our responsibility seriously and have implemented a number of temporary measures at the dining facilities which include:

  • Removal of cutlery from all tables. Cutlery will be delivered with your meals.
  • Introduction of single-use menus.
  • Increased sanitation of all work and public spaces.
  • Additional staff training.
  • Increased use of gloves, including in the acceptance of deliveries.
  • Removal of ‘help yourself’ sauce and cutlery stations.

Persons who do not cooperate with our advice in relation to COVID-19 will be asked to leave our premises.

We ask for your complete cooperation and understanding as we continue our commitment to offering a quality-based community hub for all people of our community to enjoy.

If you have any questions, please seek to liaise with our Club’s management.

Further updates may apply.

Yours Sincerely,

Glenn Cushion
