Helping the community find an AED is helping save lives

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a valuable piece of lifesaving equipment that is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. when used in conjunction with CPR, it has the potential to improve a person’s survival rate after cardiac arrest. It’s a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use, medical device that can analyse the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.

We have recently purchased brand new AED’s for both our Ingleburn RSL Club and Ingleburn Bowling Club venues as well as our Sunseeker Holiday units at Forster. And with this, we have joined the Heart of The Nation Network, which connects any member of the public to the locations of AEDs in their area.

This is a fabulous community addition, and we encourage you all to download the ‘Heart of The Nation App’ via Google Play or Apple Store to enable you to be connected to responders in the event of a cardiac arrest. Visit www.heartofthenation.com.au/join to learn more.
